The Final Countdown is the Single (with capital S) by Swedish band Europe. Fully composed by Joey Tempest, band’s singer and frontman, it was released on Valentine’s Day way back in 1986 and reached #1 in the charts in 25 countries across the globe (including UK, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Belgium): over the years it has become a true classic, not only of rock music. The Final Countdown is since years a certainty also in dance music: countless covers versions and bootlegs of this tracks were delivered; it was revived in every genre possible. The “sax version” is all the rage in the trendiest locations of the globe, in particular during summer time; it was first brought to success in Ibiza and Spain during “Children of the 80’s”, the super popular 80s-theme parties inspired by music, fashion and movies of the ‘80s. From Hard Rock Hotel in Ibiza and Tenerife to Mykonos, from Miami’s Spring Break to Zrce in Croatia, from the consoles of globe’s hugest dance festivals to catwalks of top modern fashion designers, the power of this new “dance-rock anthem” grew day by day and turned into a full-fledged music project. THE FINAL COUNTDOWN is masterfully revisited and played by amazing CANDY SAX, with the special participation of Luca Signorini, one of Italy’s greatest saxophonists. The Final Countdown precedes the arrival of CANDY SAX’ studio album “ASAXINA”: 13 dance remakes of classics of the ‘80s and ‘90s, where sax (tenor, alto and soprano) is the sole, great protagonist. https://smarturl.it/CandySax_tfc 20/03/2020 by DOIT in NEWS ARCHIVE COMMENTI Facebook Twitter Google+ LinkedIn
