After a rather long break, world famous producer and hitmaker Steve Forest is back on track!
ASCAP-multi awarded Steve has been recently involved, either personally or as an alias, as producer and remixer, in a few pop-dance projects released worldwide by Sony and Universal. But his real comeback will be in mid-July on Do It Yourself, with a true banger: GOOD AS GOLD.
Steve joined forces with the amazing LA-based singer-songwriter Brittney Bouchard and the two delivered something special, even magic. While dealing with a very actual and serious topic such as Covid-19, Steve’s unique touch makes this track enjoyable and full of positive vibes.
“When the sudden reality of Covid-19 hit, it hit me straight on, hard. I’m sure I wasn’t alone when experiencing these sobering feelings and thinking, “is this real life”? The sinking emotions accompanied by loss of all that I knew of normal life soon became the norm and everyday became more and more like a bad dream. It was all that I could think about, and all could write about. Needless to say, this song came from the deep place of a life unsettled”, Brittney explained.
Putting into words Steve’s idea ended up to be a kind of a mission for Brittney, who already received commercial success with multiple international campaigns for companies and brands such as Converse, Omega Watches and Comcast (to name a few) and she came up with simple but meaningful lyrics, that almost sound like a mantra.
